H.E. Nii Amasah Namoale Presents his Letters of Credence to H.E. Jennifer Geerlings-Simons President of the Republic of Suriname

His Excellency Nii Amasah Namoale, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Federative Republic of Brazil, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Suriname, on Thursday, 12th March 2026, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, President of the Republic of Suriname, at the Presidential Palace in Paramaribo. 

During the ceremony, Ambassador Namoale conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President and people of Ghana to President Geerlings-Simons and the people of Suriname. He reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening the cordial relations between the two countries and expressed his readiness to work closely with the Government of Suriname to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Discussions between the Ambassador and the President focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, energy, and tourism. They also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration within the Global South and enhancing diplomatic engagement between Ghana and Suriname.

President Geerlings-Simons congratulated Ambassador Namoale on his appointment and assured him of the support of the Government of Suriname in the discharge of his duties aimed at deepening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
