H.E. Nii Amasah Namoale Presents his Letters of Credence to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana

On Tuesday, 17th March 2026, H.E. Nii Amasah Namoale, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana with residence in Brasília, presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, at the State House, Georgetown. The ceremony marked the formal commencement of the Ambassador’s mandate and signified the continued commitment of the Republic of Ghana to strengthening diplomatic relations and deepening cooperation with Guyana.

During the period of his accreditation, the Ambassador is expected to work closely with the Government of Guyana to advance bilateral relations in key areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, agriculture, oil and gas cooperation, education and capacity building, cultural exchange, and technical collaboration. Both parties expressed the need to exploring opportunities to enhance South-South cooperation, promote private sector partnerships, and strengthen people-to-people relations, while fostering collaboration within regional and multilateral frameworks to support sustainable development and shared prosperity.
